#109- Unique Military tactics, strategies and weapons- No guns edition
Wednesday Nov 02, 2022
Wednesday Nov 02, 2022
On this Episode of A Brothers' Creed Podcast we explore the history of military strategy and how sometimes thinking outside of the box is better than being all powerful. We share stories from ancient times like when the Persians, knowing that the cat was worship as a god in Egypt, painted cats on their shields and released them during battle so that the Egyptians would not fire their arrow in fear of harming a cat. Even more modern day strategies where the Russians would feed their dogs under the tanks, so they know where to get food, and strapped bombs to them during battle thinking they would run under the enemy tanks expecting food. We share these and many more tactics that may or may not have worked.

#107- The Power of Observation and Perception
Wednesday Oct 19, 2022
Wednesday Oct 19, 2022
On this episode of A Brothers' Creed Podcast, we dive in to the Power of Observation. We are constantly observing the world around us through our 5 senses. Do we use those senses equally or are there some that we use more than others? Using these senses how can we interact with people and better read a situation or conversation? Can we use the power of observation to become more aware of what the other person might be thinking? Are they lying about something? We talk about the book Never Split the Difference by Chris Voss and the 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene and different tactics that we can use when speaking with others. When we observe others, we built in opinion about them and when others observe us, they built a perception of who we are. Join us as we discuss observation and perception on a deeper level.

#104 - The Roots and Domain of the British Empire
Wednesday Sep 28, 2022
Wednesday Sep 28, 2022
On this Episode of A Brothers' Creed Podcast we discuss the British Empire and how the Royal power changed from an absolute monarchy prior to the 13th century to a shared power structure with Parliament in the subsequent centuries. Jared gives some of this background and how these changes in the power dynamic changed over time. Although the British Monarchy is still considered the Head of the British empire, the Parliament is the head of the British government. Ethan shares some of the history of the different eras of the British Empire and how the expansion to Australia, India, New Zealand, and Canada played a role in the formation of those countries. British colonialism had both benefits and downsides to every nation it settled in, many of those countries still are part of the Great British Commonwealth and give homage to the monarchy that exists, even if it is only symbolic.
