On this episode of A Brothers' Creed Podcast, we sit down and chat about the Boy Scouts of America program. Both of us achieved the rank of Eagle Scout as youth and have served in scout leadership in our adulthood. We talk about the beliefs and creed of the boy scouts and how that has shaped our own creeds in life. We talk about the responsibility, leadership experience, and growth that young men in the program get to experience. These formative years of a young man’s life need to be shaped by an environment where they are influenced by positive role models and given opportunities to have fun and grow. We talk about how Scouting should be a supplement to fatherhood and is not a replacement for being a well-rounded dad. At the end of the episode, we give an overall verdict on whether the program is worth it for young men these days.

Wednesday Jan 20, 2021
On this episode of A Brothers' Creed Podcast, we discuss and reflect the psychology of failure. We share personal and popular stories about failure and how we and others have become stronger through those trials. We talk about Ethan's struggle with dental school admittance and Jared's trials with standardized tests. We discuss the importance of failure and the role it plays in teaching us throughout our lives. We share our personal quotes on failure:
"Sometimes the pain of failure leaves scars that can hurt for a long time, but what separates true failure from success is how we respond to it. Not learning from things that don’t go how we planned is the true definition of failure” - Ethan Thomas
“If you are afraid to fail, you'll be afraid to try new things, if you don’t try new things you will never grow to meet your full potential. Falling short of your potential is the true failure. “ – Jared Thomas

#11- Refining Fatherhood - Being the best dad you can be
Wednesday Dec 16, 2020
Wednesday Dec 16, 2020
Correctly fathering children in today’s world can be a complex and difficult target to hit. In this Episode we discuss 3 principal questions about fatherhood. First, what is the main goal of a fatherhood? Second, what characteristics do good fathers have? Thirdly, how do I become a better father to teach and lead my children? Joins us as we share stories and experiences from our childhood and now as fathers. This episode aims to build our CREED so that we can raise children who will positively impact the future.
Quotes from the Brothers on Fatherhood:
"A father’s role is to plant the seeds of character into the hearts of his children and provide an atmosphere where those seeds can grow. Then it is to empower them with grit and self-confidence to continue to grow those seeds. When those children leave the home, they won’t have full grown trees but they will know how to grow the saplings they have." – Jared Thomas
"What we say matters, what we do matters, but what we need to understand is that their lives and futures are in our hands. Your best is all they can ask for but our everything is what we have to give."- Ethan Thomas
