That does not mean we need to always walk on eggshells, but it is important to understand the impact our words and actions may have on others. We discuss how being self-aware makes people more fulfilled, more confident, better communicators, better leaders, more honest, and have better relationships. #20- Humility - An attribute of strength, not of weakness
Wednesday Feb 17, 2021
Wednesday Feb 17, 2021
On this episode of A Brothers' Creed Podcast we talk about how the world sees humility as a weakness but we prove how it can be an attribute of strength. We compare and contrast the worlds definition on humility to our own. We share personal experiences of how being humble and grateful are truly the twin characteristics of happiness. We share historic examples of humble men who despite great achievements did not pridefully boast of their accomplishments. Developing humility can be challenging in such a competitive world but without it we lose site of our humanity. Fostering humility within ourselves and our families will fortify us against the negative influences of society.
“When there is a lack of humility it can lead to pride and judgement. This can lead to anger and the destruction of relationships.” - Ethan Thomas
” Humility is the doorway and pride is the door. By removing pride and great pearls of wisdom will enter your life by the mouth of others and by the mouth of god. The more you can get that door out of the way the more blessings and wisdom can enter your life” - Jared Thomas

These formative years of a young man’s life need to be shaped by an environment where they are influenced by positive role models and given opportunities to have fun and grow. We talk about how Scouting should be a supplement to fatherhood and is not a replacement for being a well-rounded dad. At the end of the episode, we give an overall verdict on whether the program is worth it for young men these days.
