On this Episode of A Brothers' Creed Podcast we talk with Brent Fenton who is an seasoned firefighter and social media content creator in Arizona. Brent shares with us his journey to become and Firefighter and Paramedic and how he got on that path. He shares with us an experience of a difficult fire he once battled that resulted in the near loss of his own life and the total loss of his fire engine. First responders are exposed to so many traumatic, stressful, and difficult situations. We discuss the importance of coping with these difficult experiences and Brent shares with us how he is able to do so in a healthy manner. Brent shares with us how creating laughter through his comedic videos is one way he is able to cope with the difficulties of his profession. Brent’s social media persona, Firefighter Fenton, give us a comedic look into the lives of firefighters and first responders. Join us as we get to know the man, father, husband, and firefighter behind the jokes.

Discipline is action or inaction that is regulated to be in accordance with a system of beliefs or rules. After considering the consequences of our actions we choose to do or not to do something. These choices will help to determine our path and future. There are 4 components to self discipline; Self control, motivation, persistence, and goals. By implementing these 4 tenants we can start to build a personal creed and that will assist us in achieving our goals.

On this episode of A Brothers' Creed Podcast we talk with Jesse Esselman. Jesse practices Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and shares with us his experience over the past year with falling in love with the sport. BJJ is an ever-growing combat sport that focuses on ground and grappling techniques with the mission of submitting your opponent (tap out or pass out). Jesse tells us why he was drawn to the sport and why he spends up to 5 days a week in the gym practicing with one of the most well know world champions. Other than the physical fitness needed and gained by practicing BJJ Jesse talks about how this sport has helped him develop both humility and confidence at the same time. With some of the principles and feelings that Jesse shared about BJJ there is no wonder why it is becoming so popular with men and woman alike.

We discuss the lack of ownership, pride, and disregard for safeguards that let to a chain of catastrophic events that changed the world.
