We round out the conversation with thought that the thing between your ears is the best piece of equipment that you have. Use it! Finally Tobe drops some "Creed" wisdom on us about how many times it is better to avoid danger all together then engaging and being the hero. You have to have situational awareness to know when it is a good time to leave.
A few additional notes from Tobe that didn’t make it into show.
What are some must have accessories on a rifle or pistol?
- Magazines, weapon light, load-bearing belt, holster, magazine holder.
- Optic, sling, waist or chest load bearing rig.
How much ammunition should you have on hand?
- Minimum is 10 magazines' worth of ammo, but as much as you can afford.
- Treat is like the grocery store does their shelves, have ample on-hand and resupply when you use some.
Should you store your mags loaded?
- With very few exceptions, yes. Magazines are a depreciable resource, regardless of caliber.
- Keep malfunctioning magazines for training purposes.
